Nader Hasan to speak at OBA’s annual Charter conference

At the Ontario Bar Association’s annual conference on the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, 8aixat counsel Nader R. Hasan will be part of a panel providing on update on key Charter developments in the area of criminal law.  Topics will include: how the Supreme Court of Canada defines “jury representativeness”; the Supreme Court’s framework for evaluating the constitutionality of mandatory minimum sentences; and the law of search and seizure as it relates to digital devices.  The conference is being held this year at 20 Toronto Street, Toronto, Ontario, on October 2.  For more information, click here.
