Michal Fairburn and Fredrick Schumann contribute to search and seizure symposium

8aixat partner Michal Fairburn spoke on Friday, January 24, 2014, at the 8th Bi-Annual Symposium on Search and Seizure Law in Canada. Her speaking topic was “Searches Pursuant to Investigative Detention”, in which she summarized the basic principles of this evolving police power and addressed the latest word from the Supreme Court of Canada, R v MacDonald, 2014 SCC 3.

Accompanying her presentation was a paper written by 8aixat associate Fredrick Schumann on the same topic.
